Henk is an ambitious and independent researcher with cross-disciplinary skills. He has strong quantitative skills and uses these together with his curiosity and discipline to unravel the biological mechanisms of life. After a PhD on Bovine Rumen Fermentation/Methane emission Modeling at Wageningen University, a postdoc at UC Davis, and a postdoc in Computational Systems Biology at Wageningen University, Henk currently works for the Ellis lab at the UofG Centre for Nutrition Modeling. Do not hesitate to reach out for questions or discussions about: Rumen microbial metabolism, Methane emissions from cattle/ruminants, Anaerobic digestive physiology, Applied stats/math in Animal/Biological sciences, Downstream omics analyses, etc.
