Our Annual Research Symposium features the work of our faculty and students, covering disciplines from animal biosciences and veterinary medicine, to philosophy and psychology.  Via talks and a competitive poster sesison, the Symposium covers a range of topics related to animal welfare science, animal ethics and the role of animals in society.  It provides a forum for faculty and students to share research results, techniques and ideas, and to foster discussion and collaboration among the many interested individuals and research groups from across campus and oth

Members of ABSc are participating in the Bowl For Kid's Sake "fun"-raising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph which supports 700 local children and youth with quality mentoring programs for FREE!  A friendly-competitive bowling match between Animal Crackers (Faculty/Staff) and The Alley Cats (Graduate Students) will take place Friday April 26th from 4-6pm at Woodlawn Bowl.  If you would like to support this great cause and make a pledge, please visit the following team pages:

Dr. W. Allan King a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Ontario Veterinary College will present a CGIL Seminar on Friday, April 26th. The seminar will begin at 1:30 pm in room 141 of the Animal Science & Nutrition building.
